About AKA

AKA SPORT is a 501(c)3 Minnesota Nonprofit Organization.

Incorporated in 2004, AKA SPORT was created to provide multi-sport programs and camps for kids. The mission of AKA SPORT is to encourage kids of all abilities to live an active lifestyle by providing sports and fitness programs for youth, families, schools and communities.

AKA SPORT currently offers summer camps, school programs, and community events designed for kids (and families) to spend their time playing a variety of sports, making friends, learning healthy lifestyle skills, and attending fun and educational events and field trips throughout the Twin Cities, North Metro, and West Metro.

Designed for young athletes seeking intensive training and skill development, our SEALs program offers campers a rigorous and rewarding sports camp experience. From specialized drills to competitive games, participants will immerse themselves in a variety of sports and learn from experienced and sport specific coaches.

At the All Sports Camp we cultivate a vibrant community where kids explore the joy of multi-sport participation. Our experienced coaches foster skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and inclusive environment; with emphasis on keeping kids active and well rounded through sport! (And don’t forget the awesome field trips).

Step into leadership at our Speed of Play Program, a dynamic summer camp for grades 7-9 focused on developing both athletic prowess and leadership skills. Through a variety of sports activities and challenges, participants learn effective communication, decision making, and collaboration. Elevate your game and emerge as a leader this summer!

When school is out, the fun is on! With a variety of sports activities designed to keep kids active, engaged, and entertained, School release is the way to go. From sports, to swimming, to outdoor adventures, our programs offer something for every young athlete. Make new friends, memories, and learn sports along the way!

The after school programs are designed to blend sports, fun, and learning! Our programs foster curiosity, activity, and interest in sports at any level. With skilled coaches to guide your child along the way, our after school programs are a great opportunity to learn a new sport or advance your child's sports skills.

At AKA SPORT, our seasonal and summer camp staff play a vital role in delivering high-quality youth programming that supports active lifestyles, confident learners, and accessible childcare for families across the Twin Cities. We are committed to hiring motivated professionals who bring integrity, leadership, and a drive to make a meaningful difference.

We are always looking for positive, energetic people to join our team! Applicants should have some experience with sports, fitness and/or working with children ages 5-13. Responsibilities include working on specific sport skills as well as organizing games and activities.

He attended for several weeks this summer and he came home happy and saying his day was “great” or “awesome” every day! As a parent, I love the focus on being active and the importance of team work, along with the ease of planning for one location all summer. It is a new experience, field trip and sport every week with the same coaches and mostly the same friends every week.
